Toshiba TDP-ET20U Multimedia DVD Projector

Toshiba US today announced TDP-ET20U DLP projector with built-in DVD Player and and 5.1-channel Dolby Pro Logic surround sound. The projector is low end featuring 848x480 DMD panel and is targeting first time owners or those for whom installation is a nightmare.
The projector features 2000:1 contrast ratio with its 1100 Lumen output. TDP-ET20U includes an HDMI input along with RGB, component, composite and s-video. The projector has a very flexible keystone correction to make the setup an easy task. 30 degree horizontal and 40 degree vertical adjustments will probably make the picture crappy, but the piece of mind that you 'can' is always soothing. Also, the projector's lense is short throw such that you can achieve a 100" screen from less than a 6 feet distance. This feature makes it possible to somewhat avoid the 35 dB noise-making projector by placing it in the front of the room close to the speakers that will negate the unpleasant whirring.
Another notable feature is that DVD player is capable of playing Divx and MP3s in par with all regular DVD media breeds.
The projetor is available for pre-ordering from ToshibaDirect.com for MSRP $1399 but I would suggest waiting until TDP-ET20U hits the retailers and leverage the street price.
