Mitsubishi HCT3100, HCT1100 DLP Projectors

Mitsubishi Japan is set to launch 2 new DLP projectors: LVP-HC3100 and LVP1100. HC3100 is successor to HC3000, a mid-range 720p projector that got nice reviews from the industry.

HC3100 features a DarkChip3 720p DMD panel ( 1280x720 ) with contrast ratio of 4500:1. According to the press release, the 5-speed color wheel has been reworked towards better colors but no specifics.

HC1100 is the little brother and features DarkChip2 720p DMD panel. The contrast ratio is 3000:1 and color wheel speed is 4x.

Both projectors sport an HDMI, component, RGB, s-video, and composite inputs. Projectors accepts video signals up to 1080i.

One of the most notable properties of both projectors is the whisper quite operation that produces only 19-20dB of noise. I think this is the first set of DLP projectors to achieve this level of quiteness.

HC3100 will be available on September 8 following August 28th appearance of HC1100.
