Marantz announces Cinemarium single piece speaker capable of surround sound by bouncing sound waves around the room and fooling you into hearing sounds from various angles. Same principle is used by Yamaha and Polk Audio. The difference Marantz has is in not using surrounding walls to create the surround effect but rather using delays in transmitted sound waves with proprietary Opsodis technology.
The speaker has an HDMI input and can decode Dolby and DTC signals.
Priced moderately at 124,000 Yen ($1,036) but is recommended to be used with a subwoofer to cover the full frequency range.

Anyone have an idea how this will compare to the Yamaha YSP-1100?
